Six people were killed and two were critically injured in shootings over the weekend in Prince George’s County, Maryland, police say.
Three women were outside just before 11 p.m. Friday in the 1900 block of Village Green Drive in Landover when someone drove by and shot them, police said.
Hannah Woods, 65, died at the scene and 24-year-old Nijah Johnson died a short time later at a hospital, police said. A third woman has injuries that are not life-threatening.
Police said Monday they are still trying to find the suspects and determine the motive for the killings.

About a mile away in Landover, in the 1800 block of Ryderwood Court, police found 17-year-old Kyree Duvall suffering from a gunshot wound just before midnight. Duvall died at the hospital, police said early Saturday.
Around the same time, 20-year-old Camisha Jenifer drove herself to a hospital to get treated for a gunshot wound. She died a short time later, police said.
Detectives believe Duvall and Jenifer met on Ryderwood Court to conduct a transaction involving the sale of a gun and shot each other during the meeting, police said.
Police were called to a third shooting in the 6700 block of 22nd Place in Hyattsville about 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
A man and a woman were found shot inside a van, about 10 miles from the first shooting, police said.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene and the woman was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, police said.
On Sunday, two juveniles were found "suffering from trauma" at about 6:50 p.m. in the 6600 block of Summerhill Road in Temple Hills. One boy was pronounced dead on the scene and another boy was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said.
It’s unclear if any of the shootings were related.
