Retailers are further embracing technology to help get consumers be prepared. Macy's is updating its app to offer customers special unadvertised deals while shopping. It will even help you find your way to discounts inside the store.

Many other stores like Toys'R'Us are using Facebook and Twitter to shout out holiday must haves and discounts.

Black Friday Deal Finder, collects the sale items from a slew of stores in one app. The app lets you create lists and compare deals.

The website pulls all of the circulars together for you in one place, even ones that aren't officially released.
