State authorities say a southern New Jersey woman has been sentenced to seven years in state prison on gun and drug charges.
Chinyere Gardner must serve five years before she becomes eligible for parole.
The 34-year-old Egg Harbor Township pleaded guilty in March to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and later pleaded guilty to possession of a revolver as a convicted felon. She recently received a seven-year sentence on the drug charge and a concurrent five-year term on the gun charge.
Gardner and her husband, 40-year-old Donald Capriotti, were both charged after the Atlantic City Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at their home in January 2013. Capriotti also pleaded guilty in the case and was sentenced earlier this month to 18 years in prison.
