Woman Jailed on Charges She Stabbed Husband With Corkscrew

A Pennsylvania woman has been jailed on charges she stabbed her husband in the leg with a corkscrew before also puncturing his lung with a knife.

Online court records show a just denied bail for 21-year-old Alice Malave-Roque because her husband was critically injured Monday.

WNEP-TV, which first reported the incident in Bloomsburg, says the victim, Michael Eyer, has been upgraded to serious condition at Geisinger Medical Center near Danville.

Eyer told police his 21-year-old wife threatened to shoot them both if she had a gun before stabbing him.

She had obtained a protection-from-abuse order against Eyer earlier this year after he allegedly texted the woman to say he wanted to "taste her blood."

The suspect faces a preliminary hearing July 22 on attempted homicide and other charges.
