Nice Weekend: Shore Weather Improves But Rip Current Risk Increases

High pressure builds in for Saturday, even more for Sunday. Humidity stays low for Saturday, still comfortable for Sunday. A warm, dry weekend is on tap!

The area of low pressure that gave rain to New Jersey and Delaware Friday will move away for the weekend. Clouds and some light showers could still linger near the Jersey Shore and Delaware beaches Saturday morning as another area of low pressure forms offshore. This will provide northeast winds around 15 to 25 mph near the shore with a moderate to high risk for dangerous rip currents both Saturday and Sunday.

High pressure will keep building in for Sunday with more sunshine for the shore. It won’t be as windy Sunday, but the rip current threat will still remain.

Saturday:
Jersey Shore/Delaware beaches: Clouds and sun, 79 degrees, slight shower chance, windy
Philadelphia: Sunny, 84 degrees
Poconos: Sunny, 78 degrees

Saturday:
NJ shore/DE beaches: Sunny, 82 degrees
Philadelphia: Sunny, 85 degrees
Poconos: Mostly sunny, 79 degrees
