A break in a 36-inch water main spilled water down a North Philly street, damaging at least three properties and creating a large hole in the road while spewing water into the air.
The break happened around 11:15 p.m. Saturday, spilling water down Master Street between 25th and 26th streets and forcing authorities to close the road to traffic.
The Philadelphia Water Department capped the main around midnight, according to a Philadelphia Water Department spokesman.

No customers were without water, but residents in the area were told to expect some low pressure, the spokesman said.
PWD told people in the area to expect the road to be closed for a while as crews work to repair the main. Spokeswoman Laura Copeland said crews will be back on scene Monday.
PWD found two homes and one business in the area sustained water damage.
