Triple Motorcycle Accident Kills 1, Hurts 3

A crash involving three motorcycles and two cars along a Montgomery County road has taken the life of one driver and injured three others.

The motorcycles and an SUV were traveling westbound along Welsh Road near Dillon Road in Upper Dublin Township, Pa. around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and another car was traveling eastbound when the vehicles collided, police say.

One motorcycle driver was pronounced dead at the scene and two others were taken to Abington Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, officials say.

Police say the driver of a Toyota Camry also suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from the hospital. The SUV driver was not injured.

An accident investigator tells NBC10 it appears there was a head-on collision between at least one of the vehicles.

Welsh Road was closed overnight as police investigated the deadly crash. The road was reopened just before 6:30 a.m.

The official cause of the collision remains unclear.
