Officials say a freight train transporting alcohol struck several wooden pallets that had been left on the tracks in New Jersey.
CSX spokesman Rob Doolittle tells NJ.com a train headed from Selkirk, New York to Oak Island struck the pallets late Saturday in Bergenfield.
Doolittle says it wasn't immediately clear who left the pallets on the tracks. The train stopped after striking the pallets.
Officials say the train didn't sustain any damage and no one was hurt. It continued on after an inspection. The train had two locomotives. More than 80 cars contained alcohol.
Borough and company police investigated.
