Teen Charged With Threatening Student on Twitter

An 18-year-old man has been charged with using Twitter to threaten a fellow southwestern Pennsylvania high school student.

Online court records don't list an attorney for Alexander Crowley, of Finleyville. He faces a Feb. 4 preliminary hearing on charges of terroristic threats, stalking and retaliation against a witness.

Carroll Township police say a 17-year-old girl told them Crowley sent her "highly threatening and intimidating messages" on Twitter, threatening to shoot her if she told authorities that Crowley stole money from her purse at a residence in Monongahela.

Police charged Crowley with making those threats, and added other charges Wednesday after Ringgold High School officials alerted police that Crowley was continuing to argue with and threaten the girl on school property earlier this month.
