After heavy rain led to a flood risk in neighborhoods across the Philadelphia area Thursday, the on and off precipitation will continue through Friday morning, as will gusty winds.
The heaviest rain totals will be across northern Delaware, Philadelphia, north and west suburbs, Berks County and the Lehigh Valley. Our First Alert continues through 9 a.m. Friday.
Friday will feature morning rain, gusty winds, and then another round of afternoon and evening rain showers. A few wet snow flakes may even mix in north and west of Philadelphia across the Lehigh Valley and Poconos. Highs Friday reach the lower 50s. Winds could gust over 40 mph.
Our weekend starts brisk, chilly and windy. Highs on Saturday only reach the upper 40s. Sunday will feature plenty of sunshine, less wind, and highs around 60.
Looking ahead to next week, rain will sweep through Monday evening. Chilly winds are around Tuesday. Opening Day for the Phillies Thursday looks beautiful with plenty of sunshine with temperatures in the mid-50s.
