A firefighter and a resident were both hospitalized following a fire at a South Philly building Tuesday afternoon.
The fire started at a building with apartments inside on 16th and Ritner streets. Firefighters were able to bring the flames under control in about 20 minutes.
A person inside the building was taken to Jefferson University Hospital and is currently in stable condition. A firefighter was also taken to Jefferson for observation.
Officials are currently investigating the cause.
