A SEPTA Transit Police officer was arrested after he allegedly masturbated while riding in a subway car.
On Oct. 25, SEPTA’s social media team discovered a video on the Internet showing a man masturbating on a Broad Street subway car. The video, which was posted in August, was forwarded to SEPTA Transit Police who began an investigation.
After a Transit Police Captain reviewed the video, the man was identified as 44-year-old Kevin Fant, a member of the Transit Police who was off-duty at the time, according to investigators.
On Oct. 28, police executed a search warrant of Fant’s Philadelphia home and recovered the clothes he was allegedly wearing in the video. Fant was then arrested on Halloween and charged with indecent exposure and open lewdness.
Fant, a Philadelphia resident, has been a member of the Transit Police for 12 years. In addition to the charges against him he was also placed on administrative leave.
