SEPTA Bus Slams Into House

Seven taken to hospital

A SEPTA bus plowed into a house in Wynnefield Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m.

The driver lost control after he started choking on a throat lozenge, SEPTA spokeswoman Jerri Williams said.

Witnesses say the bus hit some cars, a utility pole and then slammed into the house.

It happened on the 4700 block of Ford Road.

The driver and six passengers were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
