A South Jersey police officer out on patrol got a big surprise overnight after his patrol vehicle caught fire.
The officer stopped at the light at the Black Horse Pike and Nicholson Avenue in Haddon Township around 1 a.m. Tuesday when he noticed smoke in the car, said police.
He got out to find the sport utility vehicle on fire.
The officer wasn’t hurt.
Police said it wasn’t clear what sparked the blaze.
