Family of Man Who Died After Drunken Fall Sues Pennsylvania Strip Club

The family of a 56-year-old Pennsylvania man who died following a drunken fall at an Allentown strip club last Christmas is now suing the establishment.

Relatives of Gerald Dougherty filed a wrongful death lawsuit against KWLT LLC, the South Carolina company that owns Platinum Plus, last week in Lehigh County Court.

The lawsuit contends that Dougherty drank "copious amounts of alcohol" at Platinum Plus and staff continued to serve him drinks despite the fact that he was visibly intoxicated.

After becoming verbally aggressive, club employees reportedly took Dougherty outside and propped him up on a wall.

The Lowhill Township man fell, suffering skull fractures, brain hemorrhages and lacerations. Dougherty's blood-alcohol content was more than double the legal limit to drive.

An attorney representing KWLT LLC couldn't be reached for comment.
