A North Jersey law firm with ties to an ally of Gov. Chris Christie is reaping millions of dollars out of its work overseeing the state's takeover of Atlantic City.
Christie appointed Jeffrey Chiesa, of Chiesa, Shahinian & Giantomasi, to oversee New Jersey's takeover of the financially battered Shore resort.
Chiesea, formerly the governor's chief counsel, has held several major political positions after Christie nominated him for the roles. He previously served as the New Jersey Attorney General following a nomination from Christie, according to his firm's website, and also was appointed to a U.S. Senate seat by the governor.
