Police need your help locating the man who shot a Westtown-East Goshen police officer around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night.
The officer, a 12-year veteran of the force, approached a suspicious car parked on the corner of Ridley Creek Lane and East Strasburg Road when he found a couple arguing nearby.
"As soon as he dismounts from his car, the officer is shot in the hand," Westtown-East Goshen Police Chief John Dumond said. "No words were exchanged between he and then suspect..."
The corporal returned fire, but is unsure whether or not he hit the suspect.
The couple fled in a dark-colored Honda -- the car parked on the side of the road. The officer was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center where he was treated and released.
The man is described as a white male, 6-foot tall with a husky build and dark hair. Police are calling him a "very dangerous" individual. If you have any information, call the Chester County Police at 610.692.9600.
