New Jersey Town to Hold Forum in Wake of Home Invasions

Officials in a central New Jersey town will hold a public safety forum in the wake of recent home invasions that targeted Asian-Indian residents.

Edison officials on Wednesday night will discuss home security and crime prevention.

Mayor Thomas Lankey tells the Home News Tribune he wants to reassure residents that police are working closely to find the perpetrators.

However, the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office will not allow officials to discuss four recent home invasion robberies in Edison, South Plainfield and Old Bridge. Asian-Indian residents were restrained and homes ransacked.

No arrests have been made.
