Camden County prosecutors say 82-year-old Edward Liberto was found early Friday in the front bedroom of his Winslow Township home. He was taken to a hospital, but was pronounced dead there a short time later.
Liberto apparently was alone in the Egg Harbor Road home when the fire broke out around 1:45 a.m. It was extinguished a short time later.
The fire apparently began in the bedroom where Liberto was found. But the cause of the fire remained under investigation Saturday.
