New Jersey Homeowner Uses Remote Surveillance to Scare Away Intruders

A southern New Jersey homeowner was able to scare away two intruders without even being in the house.

State troopers say the two burglars kicked in the Upper Pittsgrove home's side door on Tuesday morning. The men encountered the family's two dogs and started scouring the home.

That is until the homeowner noticed the men on surveillance video and addressed the intruders remotely. Footage of the incident shows the startled pair fleeing the home.

Police are asking the public's help in identifying the pair, who were able to get away with a lockbox containing jewelry and personal documents.
