New Jersey officials say a homeless man was found dead in a tent on a frigid day.
New Jersey State Police say 59-year-old Eugene Powell was found Saturday in a wooded area near a Wawa convenience store in Southampton Township on Saturday.
A friend told the Burlington County Times that Powell had worked in construction.
His body was found during a Code Blue, when emergency shelters were opened to try to keep homeless people warm.
The temperature dropped to about 10 degrees on Saturday.
