Basement Horror Suspects Face New Charges

New charges were filed against Linda Weston, Eddie Wright and Jean McIntosh Thursday

New charges have been filed against three suspects accused in a disturbing basement horror case.

Linda Ann Weston, her daughter, Jean McIntosh, and Eddie Wright were charged Thursday night with aggravated assault, kidnapping, conspiracy, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

The charges were in connection to the abuse of a 19-year-old relative, Beatrice Weston, who was locked in a bathroom closet for at least two weeks inside a Philadelphia home.

Beatrice was only let out of the closet twice a day to eat and occasionally use the bathroom.  When police discovered the victim, she had several injuries including hand fractures and scars across her body.

All three suspects were arraigned on the new charges Thursday night. Weston and Wright were each held on $2 million bail. Bail was set at $1 million for McIntosh.

In a bizarre twist, the local family court judge overseeing the fate of the children involved in this case has come in contact with the alleged ringleader before. In 2002, Judge Kevin Dougherty gave Weston custody of Beatrice.

The next court date in this case is set for November 15.
