Police say a man was shot in the Brookside Park community in Newark.
New Castle County police say the shooting occurred around 9:50 p.m. Friday night. Police say the victim was wounded in the upper body and was driven to the hospital in a private vehicle.
The shooting is under investigation, and police say they are trying to determine a motive. They have not released any suspect information.
