Drunken driving charges have been filed against a man who was only wearing boxer shorts and driving the wrong way when his car overturned on a northern New Jersey highway.
The Record reports the accident occurred around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, as the man drove west in an eastbound lane of Route 4 in Paramus.
Authorities were trying to determine how long the man was traveling in the wrong direction and what caused the vehicle to overturn. It did not appear that any other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The man, who was alone in the car, apparently escaped injury. His name has not been released.
