Lower Merion School District Mulls Spending Nearly $300K on Bus Cameras

The Lower Merion School District officials have already made changes to its security policy to allow cameras on nearly 100 buses, a decision that could cost the suburban municipality roughly $300,000.

At a cost of $3,000 a piece, installation on the district's 95 buses would cost $285,000, according to Main Line Media News.

The suburban newspaper reported that after Upper Moreland finishes replacing its buses this summer with camera-equipped ones, Lower Merion would be the only district in Montgomery County without the safety and security measure.
