Overdosing Driver Crashes Into Home, Fleeing Dog Killed by Another Car: Police

Police also say the homeowner’s yellow Labrador Retriever got out of the house during the crash and was struck and killed by a different car that fled the scene.

A man overdosing on drugs crashed into a Bucks County house and injured the homeowner while the homeowner’s dog was struck and killed by another vehicle that fled the scene, according to police.

Police say the suspect was driving a 2016 Honda on Goldenridge Drive in Levittown shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday when he overdosed on an unknown substance and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle crossed over a field and crashed into the back of a home on Gun Road.

Two people were inside the home at the time. A male resident who was sitting near the doorway was hit in the head by one of the glass doors during the crash. He was taken to the hospital and treated for a serious head laceration.

The driver of the Honda lost consciousness and had to be revived by responding police officers and EMS. He was taken to the hospital and later released into police custody. Investigators say he was wanted on several warrants and charges against him are pending.

Police also say the homeowner’s yellow Labrador Retriever got out of the house during the crash and was struck and killed by a different car that fled the scene on Edgely Road.
