The Pennsylvania Lottery says a Mega Millions ticket worth as much as $153 million was sold in Northumberland County.
Lottery officials said Wednesday that the ticket would be the fourth-largest cash prize in Pennsylvania Lottery history if the winner accepts the $91.7 million cash value of the ticket. The annuity value is $153 million.
It's the largest Mega Millions ticket prize ever won in Pennsylvania, since the state joined Mega Millions in 2010, and just the second jackpot-winning ticket sold in the state. The lottery is required to subtract 25 percent in federal withholding taxes from the cash prize.
