A home health care aide who allegedly stole thousands of dollars from an elderly client has been indicted on a theft charge.
Camden County prosecutors say 31-year-old Latoya Williams, of Pennsauken, is also charged with fraudulent use of a credit card in the indictment recently handed up by a county grand jury.
Prosecutors say Williams provided in-home care for an 89-year-old Voorhees woman.
The woman's family gave Williams a credit card so she could pay the victim's daily expenses. But Williams allegedly used it to make fraudulent charges in excess of $6,700 between March and April 2014.
Prosecutors say the charges included payments for a vacation time share, airfare, dental work, insurance, a car loan and cell phone bills.
A telephone number for Williams could not be located Sunday. It wasn't known if she's retained an attorney.
