Vehicle With Hazardous Substance Arrives at Local Hospital: Cops

Investigators are currently testing the substance.

Police were at the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest for a hazmat situation. It happened around 2:45 p.m.

Police say a patient drove to the parking lot outside the emergency room, complaining about being exposed to a hazardous substance inside the vehicle he or she was driving. The patient was decontaminated and treated at the hospital. Hazardous material teams were then called to the scene to examine the substance.

The entrance to the emergency room was closed but has now reopened. Investigators are currently testing the substance found inside the vehicle but have not yet revealed what it is.
