July 13 is National French Fry Day, and Philadelphia’s own Chickie’s & Pete’s is using the offbeat holiday for a philanthropic cause.
At all full-service locations of the crabhouse and sports bar, customers can nab the restaurant's iconic crab fries for $1 and "personal pitchers" of Miller Lite – about 32 ounces – for $5 from 11 a.m. to midnight.
Sales will benefit the Fraternal Order of Police’s Survivors Fund, which helps families of fallen Philadelphia officers.
