Bon Jovi to Rock Berlin Wall

Bon Jovi helps celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall

When Germany celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall on Monday, Bon Jovi will hit the nail on the head by performing his song “We weren’t born to follow.”

Jon Bon Jovi and his band will join the festivities at the Brandenburg Gate on Monday at around 2 p.m. to celebrate the downfall communism and the Wall. The band calls its new song “an anthemic celebration of independence, dedicated to those who fight for freedom,” on its website.

The video for the new single also displays this idea.

The band’s performance will be a part of the celebrations in Berlin, also including a speech by Hillary Clinton.

Twenty years ago the Berlin wall, which divided Germany’s East and West, was torn down  -- after an announcement that travel restrictions were lifted. These developments lead to the end of the Cold War.

Bon Jovi will also appear on the Today Show on Wednesday, Nov. 11 for the Veteran’s Day celebration. They will perform on the plaza and folks who are planning to see them should arrive at 6 a.m.
