Bordentown Township Police are investigating the cause of a crash that killed an elderly couple Tuesday morning.
Police tell NBC Philadelphia that a trailer was delivering equipment to a construction site when it collided with a limousine along Route 130 south, in the area of the former Agway site. When officers got to the scene, they found the limousine wedged against the right rear tire of the trailer.
The driver of the limo—24-year-old Jesse Graves—was rushed to the hospital, along with 71-year-old Monroe Danbury—who was in the back of the limousine with his wife, Mireille Danbury. Monroe Danbury died during surgery at Capital Health Fuld Center sometime Tuesday morning. Mireille Danbury was pronounced dead at the scene. Graves’ condition was not released.
The driver of the trailer—42-year-old Gregg Matthews--was not injured, but he was questioned by police. So far, no charges have been filed.
