A witness followed a bank robbery suspect Thursday after seeing a dye pack explode on him along a Montgomery County road.
Lower Providence Township Police told NBC10 a man walked into the Citizens Bank at the Audubon Village Shopping Center just before 11:30 a.m. and handed a teller a note indicating a robbery. The man left with an undetermined amount of cash.
Minutes later a witness reported seeing a dye pack explode on a man on the Pawlings Road side of the shopping center. The suspect got into a black Kia SUV and the witness followed him while calling police. The witness stopped following the suspect when he entered the Route 23 interchange.
