Divers have recovered the body of a Baltimore man from a northeastern Pennsylvania lake where he'd gone swimming.
The Times-Tribune of Scranton reported Monday that 32-year-old Dwayne Ferguson was located Sunday under 40 feet of water in Deer Lake following a two-day underwater search.
Authorities told the newspaper that Ferguson apparently was in the area visiting a friend when he left his boat to swim late Saturday afternoon and never came back up. Fire Chief Tony Saxton says divers failed to find his body Saturday, but located him using sonar devices on Sunday.
The lake is about 15 miles north of Scranton.
An autopsy was scheduled. Lackawanna County Coroner Timothy Rowland did not immediately return a telephone call seeking details.
