A Delaware teen suffered a serious facial injury during a freak incident involving a shotgun.

It happened Saturday morning in the 700 Slaughter Station Road in Hartly, Kent County.

According to Delaware State Police, a 16-year-old boy was with his father and grandfather preparing to fire a shotgun.
