State Police are investigating a fiery crash that has claimed the life of a Sussex County, New Jersey teenager.
Police say 17-year-old Lyndsay Barker, who is from Newton, was driving south on Route 94 when her car veered into northbound lanes in Frelinghuysen around 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
State Police spokeswoman Trooper Alina Spies tells The Star-Ledger of Newark the car struck a tree stump, a fence and several trees. Spies says Barker was ejected before the vehicle burst into flames.
Barker was pronounced dead at the scene.
