The man who allegedly broke into women’s homes and then fell asleep in bed next to them was arrested Monday on charges that range from burglary to not staying on his side of the bed.
Police recognized 21-year-old Daniel T. Booker from a composite sketch as he was walking on Main Street in Newark, Del., on Saturday.
The composite sketch that resembled Booker was created when the first victim described the man she found sleeping next to her 5:30 a.m. Aug. 5 in her Wilbur Street home.
The following day a second victim, who is a University of Delaware student, contacted police with an identical story: She woke up to find a tired trespasser sleeping in bed next to her, police say.
Police arrested Booker Monday on two counts of second-degree burglary.
Because his body came in contact with the buttocks of one victim he is being charged with unlawful sexual contact. Because his body came in contact with the leg of the other victim, he is also being charged with one count of offensive touching.
Booker was released on $8,500 unsecured bond and was ordered to have no contact with the victims, according to Newark Police.
