Camden, AC Among Top 20 Most Miserable Cities: Forbes

The South Jersey cities come in at numbers 13 and 15 respectively.

Two South Jersey cities are among Forbes' list of America's Most Miserable Cities 2013, and which cities they are may not come as a surprise to many.

Camden and Atlantic City come in at numbers 13 and 15 respectively.

New statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau refers to Camden as the most impoverished city in the country with 42.5-percent of its residents living below the poverty line, according to the magazine.

And a drastically declining casino revenue (thanks to Pennsylvania gambling houses), complete the city's newest casino resort, Revel, filing for bankruptcy and a growing unemployment rate, it's no wonder Atlantic City made the list.

Also among the U.S.'s most miserable cities is New York City, N.Y., Chicago, Ill., and, at number one, Detroit, Mich.
