The Coast Guard has deployed an absorbent boom to contain an oil sheen that appeared on the surface of the Shark River near Belmar.
Divers will be sent to investigate on Thursday.
The sheen appeared during dredging operations on Wednesday. There is no word about the size of the sheen. [[238427591, C]]
