PHOTOS: Army Medical Unit Arrives in Philadelphia to Lend Hand to Hospitals

A task force from California is "one of several medical task force units assisting in the federal response" to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

Eighty-five soldiers from the U.S. Army have arrived in Philadelphia to help out area hospitals and the temporary medical facility set up at Temple University's Liacouras Center in North Philadelphia.

The soldiers are assigned to the 352-1 Urban Augmentation Medical Task Force, based out of Camp Parks, Calif., according to Army officials.
