Wild Weather Wednesday: Sun, Rain, and Snow

The weather starts to change

A Winter Weather advisory is in effect tonight for some of our area, as a mixture of rain and snow hits the region.

Temperatures are dropping, but still above freezing in some communities.

By 9:30 p.m., snow was falling around Philadelphia, with heavier pockets in NJ.  The rain-snow line was at the Jersey shore.

It should all clear out by 2 a.m.

One to three inches of snow could accumulate in Philadelphia, South Jersey and parts of Delaware. Two inches of snow or less should develop in areas north of Philly. While it will mainly be on grassy surfaces, some of the snow could also accumulate on untreated surfaces.

Your Thursday morning commute shoudln't be a problem, but keep an eye out for some icy areas, because temperatures will drop below freezing overnight.
