Police Arrest 14-Year-Old in Shooting of 15-Year-Old in West Philly

A 15-year-old boy was shot in the chest while hanging out with friends on Cherry Street late Monday night.

A shooting in West Philadelphia left one teen shot in the chest and another behind bars.

A 14-year-old boy shot a 15-year-old boy as he was hanging out with friends along Cherry Street near North Conestoga Street late Monday night, Philadelphia police said.

Officers rushed the 15-year-old, who was responsive, to the hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police tracked the suspected shooter to a home where they arrested the 14-year-old, investigators said.

No word yet on what charges the boy could face and if he will be charged as an adult.
