Suspect Wanted in 2 Nail Salon Robberies

Police say the man held up two salons on Thursday

Philadelphia Police are hoping that surveillance video will help identify the man wanted in connection with the robberies of two Philadelphia nail salons on Thursday.

The first incident happened at the Myly Nail Salon on the 6200 block of Lansdowne Avenue just after 11 a.m.

The second took place at the Tanya Nail Salon on the 4200 block of Chestnut Street less than two hours later.

Investigators say the suspect entered the salon around 12:45 p.m., pulled out a gun and demanded money. The employees complied and handed over what they had. The suspect, they say, then fled the store, heading west on Chestnut.

The suspect, as seen here in this video, is described as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s with a dark complexion and medium build. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and long black shorts.

Police are considering the man armed and dangerous.

If you see him or recognize him from the surveillance, you are urged to call police.
