Storms Cause Power Outages Overnight

Many people waking up this morning are without power as thunderstorms swept through the Delaware Valley overnight causing outages across the region.

Parts of South Jersey were hardest hit with more than 5,000 without power Thursday morning, according to Atlantic City Electric.

Fewer customers were affected in Pennsylvania, although both PECO and PPL Electric Utilities are reporting outages in the state's southeastern counties.  In Delaware, more than 1,000 Delmarva Power customers lost power overnight.
