Police are searching for a man who they say attacked and robbed a woman in the Society Hill section of Philadelphia last month.
The 50-year-old woman told police she was walking on the 300 block of Walnut Street on November 29 at 2:25 a.m. when she was approached from behind by an unidentified man who grabbed her tote bag. When the woman turned around the man punched her in the left side of her face and grabbed her bag, which contained her wallet, ID, credit cards, necklace and iPhone 6.
The suspect is described as a man between 30 and 45 years of age, standing 5-foot-9 and weighing between 140 and 150 pounds. He was spotted on surveillance video wearing a blue flannel jacket and black leather ‘Jeff’ cap.
