School Investigates Drug-Laced Gummy Bears From Students

A western Pennsylvania school district is investigating reports that some students possessed gummy bear candies laced with some kind of drugs.

The West Mifflin School District says on its Facebook page that officials found a ``small group of students in possession of suspicious candy at our high school.''

Their parents have been notified and are cooperating with school officials and West Mifflin police who are investigating. The candy will be tested at a police lab to determine what kind of drug was used to lace the candy.

One parent who commented on a related online forum says their child reported that five students were suspended and one expelled ``because of `weed gummy bears.'''

The district isn't commenting on any discipline that may have been handed down.
