Officer Hurt When Police SUV, Minivan Collide in Frankford

Neighbors came out of their homes Thursday morning to see the aftermath of a crash involving a Philadelphia Police vehicle and a minivan.

The police SUV rear-ended the minivan on Harbison Avenue near Tacony street in the city's Frankford section around 6:30 a.m.

SkyForce10 was over the scene as medics took the police officer away from the scene.

The severity of the officer's injuries is unknown at this time.

It is unclear if anyone else was hurt in the accident.

No word yet on the cause of the crash.
