2 Die in Fiery Rollover Pickup Truck Crash

Authorities say a pickup truck veered off a Pennsylvania road, rolled onto its roof and burst into flames, killing two people yesterday.

Pennsylvania State Police in Northumberland County say the eastbound pickup hit a tree before flipping onto its roof at about 11 a.m. Monday in Rush Township outside Elysburg -- about 60 miles northwest of Reading, Pa. in the central part of the state.

Elysburg Fire Chief Dennis Kroh said the victims were trapped inside the vehicle, which was engulfed in flames by the time fire crews arrived.

Police said the names of the victim will not be released until they have been positively identified and relatives are notified.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
