Authorities found a missing 2-and-a-half-year-old boy under water in a lake near the Monroe
Township home where an aunt was looking after him.
The boy, who is described as autistic, was pronounced dead around 11 p.m. at Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Washington Township after almost two hours on life-support Monday.
Authorities say the aunt called police after finding the front door of the house open. She and a friend found the child less than an hour later under about three feet of water in Victory Lake -- about 100 yards from the 12th Avenue home.
The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office is investigating.
