Body Found Morning After Crash into Trees Along Pennsylvania Road

Police said a man who was thrown from his vehicle wasn't discovered until hours later after crashing into some trees along a rural central Pennsylvania highway.

Blair Township police said 24-year-old Charles Leroy Walker Jr., of Hollidaysburg, was found dead about 8 a.m. Sunday, though they believe he crashed shortly after midnight that same morning.

Police believe Walker was driving too fast and rolled his 2004 Jeep when he failed to make a turn on Route 36.

Police said a text message shows Walker was on his way home to his wife and three children when he crashed. He was thrown from the vehicle as it rolled several times before coming to rest in a group of trees about 100 yards from the highway.
